synopsis:
the whole comic is based on a bizarre love triangle. The story is set in modern day; however, the back story is over 1,000 years ago.-- back story --
A young noble girl, Ukiyo, is sold off by her family to a foreign nobleman, Dunken. After moving in with him, she grows to miss her old life. She then meets a serf/servant/land worker, Kibo. Not realizing she is his lord's betrothed, Kibo falls in love with Ukiyo. Ukiyo returns Kibo's love and the two become lovers. Dunken soon finds out that his new bride is seeing someone else and forbids Ukiyo from leaving the main building/home. Ukiyo's love for Kibo is too strong to keep her away from him so she secretly begins to see him. One night, Dunken sees Ukiyo sneaking out so he follows her. He finds her and Kibo together. With his jealousy raging in him he draws his sword and charges Kibo. Ukiyo protects her love and is stabbed through the heart by Dunken's blade. Dunken then runs out into the forest in a state of madness due to killing his wife. He attacks a young land worker in this state and the workers grandmother puts a curse on Dunken.

Dunken, furious and fearful of what was to happen to him, sought out Kibo. He finds Kibo, bleeding to death in his shack after stabbing himself so he could join his love in the after life. Dunken uses Kibo's knife and slices his wrist. As the wound quickly heals, he spills his blood into Kibo's mouth.
'if I'm forced to walk this land without her, so will you'
Due to this, Kibo is brought back from the edge of death and cursed with eternal life as well.
